ASPECTA BY METROFLOR LAUNCHES NEW PRODUCTS, INITIATIVES AT NEOCON

Product emphasis will include focus on ISOCORE Technology and Aspecta One Ornamental

NORWALK, May 16 – Aspecta by Metroflor will have a major presence at the upcoming NeoCon trade show at The Merchandise Mart in Chicago June 12 – 14. Said Russ Rogg, president & CEO of Metroflor Corporation. “We have a multi-faceted story to tell this year for Aspecta at NeoCon. So, we are taking a 360-degree approach to our presence with a mix of sponsorships and activities that will communicate our new technologies, products and themes in a dynamic way.”

NORTH CENTRAL LOBBY Sponsorship

Adjacent to the first-floor registration area in The Mart, Aspecta by Metroflor invites NeoCon attendees to discover how Aspecta is shaking up flooring with ISOCORE Technology. The revolutionary core layer makes Aspecta Ten strong, rigid, quiet, lightweight, 100% waterproof and inherently safe – all in an LVT product known for its outstanding aesthetics. ISOCORE was developed to make life easier, and so is the North Central Lobby space where guests are invited drop by the lounge-like setting, enjoy some complimentary signature “smoothies”, and learn more about the company’s products.

KEYNOTE ADDRESS Sponsorship

Aspecta by Metroflor is the sponsor of the presentation by NeoCon keynote speaker Jessica Green, a world-renowned scientist inspiring people to think about bacteria in entirely new ways. She will explore how the microbial blueprint of human beings, homes, cities and forests impacts the world, and the future. Said Rochelle Routman, Metroflor’s Chief Sustainability Officer, “Jessica’s vision for the future of public welfare and urban design - promoting sustainability, human health and well-being - are core values we share at Metroflor, so it’s a natural fit to encourage Jessica’s message.” The sold-out presentation will take place Tuesday, June 13, 8:30 am in The NeoCon Theater (Motorola, 19th floor).

NEW AT NEOCON: Aspecta One Ornamental

Aspecta by Metroflor will introduce an exciting design portfolio during NeoCon 2017. The Aspecta One Ornamental LVT collection consists of three unique patterns that architects and designers can apply where they need exceptional interest and accent, without being overwhelmed by going through the entire custom design process. Building upon the existing Aspecta One design portfolio, the three overlay motifs – Damask, Masquerade and Malta -- offer a wide array of options depending upon the imagination and creativity of the designer.

Evoking ancient cultures such as Oriental, Arabic and sub-Saharan, or architecture styles like Art Nouveau and Rococo, the Aspecta One Ornamental overprint styles can be layered randomly on select Aspecta One plank and tile designs or all-over for a more dramatic effect. The collection is ideal for such commercial settings as Hospitality, Retail, Corporate and common areas of healthcare.

BIOPHILIC DESIGN:

The new Aspecta One Ornamental range expresses Metroflor’s immersion in Biophilic Design as an influence in the creation of its products moving forward. The philosophy stems from the notion of Biophilia: humankind’s innate biological connection with the natural world. Biophilia explains why certain natural occurrences captivate us, enhance our creativity or provide restorative effects. When applied to the built environment, Biophilia also defines aspects of nature that most impact and advance occupants’ health, fitness and wellbeing. Said Robert Langstaff, Metroflor’s Director of Design, “Biophilic design establishes a new framework for satisfying the need to experience nature in the built environment. At Metroflor, we are applying many of its principles to extend our design vision and capability within LVT.“ NeoCon attendees are invited to a cocktail reception in the Aspecta by Metroflor booth to meet Sonja Bochart, IIDA, LEED AP BD&C, WELL AP, a noted expert in Biophilia with the design firm Shepley Bulfinch. Sonja will be signing a limited edition booklet “Elements of Biophilic Design” produced by Metroflor especially for NeoCon. Tuesday, June 13, 3 – 5 pm, Booth 7-9116.
